The "Photo Brunch" Hwabo
The Hwabo
The Korean word hwabo means a photo story or set, usually in the sense of a fashion editorial. It's a photographically realized fantasy and a collection of pictures of the subject at her (usually) best. Young Korean women are always striving for the hwabo, and making them is part of the photographic practice that supports the huge market in rental studios, along with specially themed ones dedicated to the pursuits of other dreams, such as the perfect wedding (hence, the popularity of wedding dress cafe/studios a couple decades ago) or even the fantasy of feminine Tradition as expressed through the recent popularity of hanbok photo studios for tourists.
The "Spring Photo Brunch" Package
As a new, fully-featured, mobile "street studio," we are offering a promotional "Spring Photo Brunch" package that offers personal, one-on-one face time with professional shooter Dr. Michael Hurt in a preset location of your choice that will include a package of around 20+ images taken in around 2 hours (around 1 actually shooting, 1 sitting down to talk, edit, and transfer you the files from the camera to an industrial-strength iPad pro then into your email, Dropbox, or wherever else you'd like. You bring the looks, the attitude, and your best photographic game face, and Dr. hurt will bring along his normal pack of pro photo gear he normally uses in his fashion photography work, ranging from portable flash to portable studio strobes with battery packs. This post is from a set with some of our package sample model Bianca's looks. This was a trip through the trendy neighborhood of Haebangchon, near Itaewon, as she went to buy a new hanbok from a local modern hanbok designer grabbed before she grabbed some lunch and made her way off to the train station. We were done in literally 1.5 hours, since we took our time and we didn't have an edit session because she had a train to catch.

A Few Fun "Photo Brunch" Fun FAQS
Can multiple people/friends share a package?
Why, sure! But the package parameters will be split amongst the people. The practical limit is 3. Beyond that, this become logistically and photographically hard to pull off.
Can friends come along?
Yep! In fact, it's encouraged. It usually makes the photographic subjects more comfortable and puts people at ease, so it makes the job easier and faster for everyone. Limit of 2 others, tops, please.
Do I get Photoshopped, final cuts?
Sorry, no. We meet, I give you pics, we say goodbye. My goal is to give you your pics right then and there. If we have technical difficulties, I'll get them to you later, but I'd suggest you be ready to take either a Dropbox link or otherwise be handy with your own tech.
Can I repost /use the pics freely, as I wish?
Yep! I'd appreciate a credit if you can, or even a shout-out about the service if you can. These aren't watermarked in some cheesy way like "Michael Hurt Photography" in cursive at the bottom or anything since they're fresh out of the camera. Do with them as you will.
